Grignolino, with its light body accompanied by its nervous and slightly rough tannins, presents a piece of history of Piedmont wine having been, at one time, one of the favorite wines of the nobility of the region.
The wine "De La Rocchetta" from 2013 has a magnificent and wonderfully bright, light ruby color with the start of some orange hues which gives us some indication to the limited longevity of wines made with these grapes.
The bouquet is of good quality and has a good complexity. It is characterized by notes of fresh roses, redcurrants and cherries which is further enhanced by hints of spicy black pepper.
In the mouth, the wine is intense. It is a full-bodied wine, which is fresh and has a very good correspondence between its nose and the taste; its tannins are pleasant and not aggressive, therefore giving the right amount of tannins; the persistence is worth noting.
